About a month and half ago I shot an Oreo Spec Commercial. The original plan was to pitch it to the Nabisco company. Buuuuuuutttt after much debating with friends and Industry Colleagues, weather or not the Commercial had a sexual undertone in it or not, we halted on the pursuit. Another challenge was being able to cut it down from 45seconds to 30seconds for the networks.
For The Record my intention was NOT TO HAVE A SEXUAL UNDERTONE! I figured I would give a cool 45second spot with original sound effects along with a quirky/eerie feel. I thought people were making remarks just to be funny; and because of that I figured it would blow over.
Well I have to tell you IT DID NOT BLOW OVER!!!! In my most recent interview with a production company out of Santa Monica they just so happend to inquire about the “OREO” commercial using the word “innuendo”. All I can think is, “Great this is perfect for my resume”…So anywayz Maybe I did really mess up and miss my mark (shruggin shoulders) ah well…the point is I learned from my mistake and was able to challenge myself to cut it down to a 30 second spot and cut out the so called “innuendo”. Well Here Is the New Spot for you all you with your mind in the gutter lol……..I have to warn you Not Much Has Changed….(THE PUNCH LINE IS NOW MISSED) but let me know what you think….gone
