Wussup World!!!?!?! So I literally just came back from Miami filming a music video for Billy Blue Feat. Akon…..(sounds exciting huh?!?!?) lol I can’t lie it was…..however what people don’t get to hear is what happens behind the scenes of the shoot!!!!
~Cues Dream Effect~
Ok first off this video was completely spur of the moment!!! I was chillin at home on going on my 1000 push up when my phone suddenly rang.
Producer: Yo Wuz Good
Me: Waddup??
Producer: Yo I need you to shoot a Billy Blue & Akon Video
Me: Aight Kool….when?
Producer: Were leaving in 2hours
FREEZE!!!!!
Now At This particular moment all Im thinking is “Oh Shit I just agreed to shoot a video for Akon…..& I aint even heard the song”
My hat goes off to the Producer Eddie B for pulling it together under 5 hours. Now the drive to Miami was about 3 1/2 hours (that was the time I had to come up with some sort of concept & shot list) On top of that the client specifically requested the RED camera….GREAT; let the fun begin.
We finally arrived in Miami around 10pm; The shoot was slated to began at about 12am and ended around 6:00am…..and thats not even the best part!!!All this is scheduled around Akon’s WORLD TOUR SCHEDULE!!!!!! (slaps forehead)
So here we are finally shooting Billy Blue 1st scene at 2am; & Akon is slated to arrive at 4am. (once we heard that we new we would be in Miami an extra day) Ahhhh man lol…..we finally end the shoot at around 6:45am; by this time myself and the crew are completely delirious.
We finally hit the hotel and clocked out for about 6 hours (which literally felt like 20min)
At about 12pm we link up with the label to finally shoot a performance with Akon and Blue only to A) find out our camera team was lost somewhere in Miami and B) to find someone else shooting my video…..”yeeeeeaaaa”…lol….anyway we eventually got that situation figured out and we shot the video…..lol……its safe to say just about anything goes on last minute no pre production shoot =p
