I have to be real with yall….. Having my work showcased to this magnitude is unexplainable accomplishment & I am so very thankful to have this as part of my history. I have a lot of up and coming film makers that email me now a days so this is mainly for yall; who aspire to “DO IT BIG” The music video game is so crazy now a days especially because of internet.I mean think about it….ITS LITERALLY YOU VS. THE INTERNET. Cameras are so easy to come by now adays & people are willing to film for FREE.
Don’t get me wrong, when your starting out as a Film Maker please by all mean shoot every & anything….Develop your craft, “find your eye”…..if you will. Understand this is an ART FORM; & last but not least HAVE A PASSION for it. This may sound contradictory but I think its good to do work for free; especially when your being mentored or learning the craft. Think about it why should you get payed if you have no idea WHAT YOUR DOING??? TAKE THE TIME TO LEARN….So many film makers have paved the way for us! This is a job, a craft, an ART FORM. KNOW YOUR WORTH…..
The industry isnt the same as it once was & Im Pissed I missed that train. Its so frustrating trying to get shine in a market that is so over-saturated; videos coming out literally every hour of everyday. HOW DO YOU GET NOTICED???? I want yall to understand I have tunnel vision, my goal isn’t to impress you up & coming film makers; I’m right here with yall trying to make moves. Im tryin to impress the ones that have paved the way for us…..I want them to see what it is I’m doing. Because at the end of the day THEY INSPIRE ME. This is a milestone in my career and I want to thank everyone that has supported me up to this point. One more time for my Mom constantly saying to me “Speak it into existence” I LOVE YOU MOM!
